April is World Autism Month

We are very proud to hold our second annual event focused on Autism @ Work. Support the DC Metro Business Leadership Network and Autism Speaks. Join us  in the dialog: Piecing Together the Talent Puzzle.”

This interactive dialog will feature Sean Hoffman, KPMG Partner and Autism Speaks Board Member and Dave Kearon, Autism Speaks who will share ideas from many perspectives (Leadership, Disability Inclusion, Disability-focused ERG/BRG, Parents, Community Providers) to enrich the conversation with the goal of enhancing and accelerating collaboration for business and employment success.

Dr. Scott  Robertson, an autistic adult, a policy advisor on the Employment-Related Supports Policy Team at  ODEP will speak about a  new $2 million inclusive apprenticeship initiative and activities to enhance national autism policy.

Several  DC Metro BLN employers are engaged with recruiting Autistic Talent, others are looking to learn from them as they recognize the value of inclusion. Does your organization have a Disability-Focused Employee/Business Group that addresses Autism? Are you employed in an organization that supports you as a Parent of a person with Autism?  As a senior business executive, how can you lead your organization to  be disability inclusive to serve your business interests, talent needs, employee supports and community involvement? Your voice matters!
