About the Speaker

Janet Fiore is a national authority on disability, diversity & compliance policy and procedure for business. She’s an award winning speaker and consultative trainer who routinely provides media input as well as testimony for Congress, the GSA and the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a female entrepreneur with a disability, Janet combines her business and rehabilitation expertise, along with her own professional and personal accommodation experiences as a means to drive up employment success for all of her customers. She founded The Sierra Group in 1992 to provide a blend of services for individuals, government, agencies and corporations. Fiore is recognized as an authority on disability policies and practices for business and government. She has delivered accessible technology training, championed business incentive legislation that passed the Senate, and testified before Congress.  Fiore is the recipient of many industry and entrepreneurial awards including The Philadelphia Business Journal’s Woman of Distinction, The National Rehabilitation Association President’s Award and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation’s OVeR and Above Award.

Fiore has additionally lead a legislative initiative that resulted in OFCCP’s 7% hiring guidelines and has been featured in both Forbes magazine and in SHRM events.  Most recently The Sierra Group has launched their Disability Recruiter Certification Program to empower recruiters, HR professionals, and others with the real world skills needed to hire qualified applicants with disabilities.
